Data Analyst II

Role overview

A mid-level analytics position focused on supporting a telehealth organization that delivers virtual care across multiple specialties and all U.S. states. The role owns analytics end-to-end for one or more business areas, turning loosely defined questions into clear, decision-ready insights that improve patient care, optimize the platform, and guide operational and strategic choices. It is a remote role suited to someone who can independently run analytical workstreams with minimal direction.

Responsibilities

- Own analytics for one or more business areas end-to-end, from problem framing through final recommendation - Scope ambiguous business questions into structured analyses with limited oversight on approach - Write and optimize SQL to pull, clean, and reconcile data from multiple sources while maintaining integrity - Apply statistical methods using SQL, Excel, R, or Python to surface trends, patterns, and anomalies in healthcare and telemedicine usage - Build and maintain KPI frameworks, dashboards, and visualizations that stakeholders rely on for day-to-day decisions - Partner directly with cross-functional teams to shape data needs and influence outcomes with findings - Proactively identify and drive improvements to data collection and analysis processes

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field - 3–5 years of experience as a data analyst or in a comparable role - Demonstrated, hands-on SQL depth, including the ability to write and troubleshoot complex queries independently - Proficiency in Excel and at least one modern data visualization platform such as Tableau or Power BI - Proven ability to work independently through ambiguity and balance competing priorities without close supervision - Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex analyses into stakeholder-ready recommendations

Nice to have

- Familiarity with Zoho Analytics - Experience working in or alongside healthcare, telehealth, or other regulated data environments
