About this role
Role overview This is a senior Technical Program Manager role leading complex, cross-functional programs across communications platforms, cloud infrastructure, applications, and operational systems. The position partners closely with Engineering, Product, QA, Network Operations, DevOps/SRE, Security, and Support to take initiatives from planning through production deployment and operational readiness. It is a hands-on, technically grounded TPM role, not primarily a status-reporting one.
Responsibilities - Own end-to-end programs across VoIP, UCaaS, CCaaS, cloud services, customer-facing applications, APIs, infrastructure, and operational systems. - Translate product, customer, and engineering objectives into clear plans with milestones, owners, dependencies, and measurable outcomes. - Coordinate execution across multiple engineering and business teams, including globally distributed groups, and influence without direct authority. - Manage platform upgrades, software releases, infrastructure migrations, customer deployments, integrations, and reliability initiatives. - Identify technical and organizational dependencies, risks, and bottlenecks early and drive mitigation or escalation. - Use operational and engineering metrics to improve delivery predictability, quality, reliability, and efficiency, applying automation and AI tools where useful.
Requirements - 8+ years of experience in technical program management, engineering program management, software, or product development roles. - Demonstrated success independently driving technically complex, cross-functional programs involving multiple engineering teams. - Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, APIs, distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, databases, networking, and production operations. - Experience managing releases, migrations, integrations, deployments, dependencies, risks, and competing priorities. - Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work directly with engineers and senior leadership. - Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. - Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, dashboards, reporting tools, and modern AI-assisted productivity tools.
Nice to have - Experience with VoIP/SIP, telecommunications, UCaaS/CCaaS, cloud communications, AWS, Azure, OCI, Linux, networking, or carrier integrations. - Prior hands-on background in software engineering, systems engineering, QA automation, DevOps/SRE, or solution architecture. - PMP, PgMP, Scrum, SAFe, or similar certifications.
Benefits and work setup - Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance for employees and eligible dependents, with HMO, PPO, and HDHP/HSA options. - Employer-paid Basic Life and AD&D, short- and long-term disability coverage. - FSA healthcare and dependent care, plus commuter benefits and voluntary accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity, and legal plans. - 401(k) with employer match, Roth options, and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan. - Paid time off, sick time, and corporate holidays, plus an Employee Assistance Program and life balance benefits such as travel assistance and identity theft support.
