About this role
Role overview This Senior Project Manager role leads client engagements and global cross-functional delivery teams for a data and AI services firm, ensuring solutions are delivered on time, on budget, and within scope. The position partners closely with a Technical Lead, serves as the day-to-day client point of contact, and supports consulting-style delivery across industries including Healthcare and Life Sciences, Higher Education, Manufacturing, Private Equity, and Marketing.
Responsibilities - Lead and oversee project execution across macro roadmaps and individual projects, adhering to established processes and using appropriate delivery tools - Build and maintain delivery roadmaps based on client priorities, backlog, and future initiatives - Forecast, track, and manage project budgets, burn, and expected revenue recognition across various fee structures - Manage and mentor other project managers to ensure consistent delivery excellence across the team - Plan and manage internal and external project communications, ensuring clarity and actionable information - Identify, prioritize, and mitigate project risks and issues, escalating as needed - Support scoping, estimation, and proposals for new opportunities and proactively flag account expansion potential to leadership
Requirements - Proven track record delivering software or technology implementation projects ranging from $500K to $1MM using agile or waterfall principles - Experience in a professional services or consulting environment such as a systems integrator or agency - Skilled in managing multiple simultaneous engagements with delivery teams of two to four or more FTEs across Time & Materials, Fixed Fee, Project, Retainer, or Managed Services models - Demonstrated ability to manage both external and internal clients, including senior-level stakeholder engagement - Comprehensive knowledge of the software development lifecycle and project management principles, methods, and techniques - Understanding of financial concepts including margin and revenue recognition, plus intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Project and the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
Nice to have - Scrum Master certification - Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Trello, or Asana
