Senior Software Engineer

Role overview Build security and accountability infrastructure that helps organizations discover and govern AI agents, MCP servers, and related services. The role spans the product lifecycle, from backend and data design through user-facing features and operations, on a small team that uses coding agents as part of its engineering workflow.

Responsibilities - Own systems end to end, making design and implementation decisions across product components. - Develop features that support discovery, trust policies, monitoring, and evidence for security and compliance reviews. - Build and operate software for mapping AI services and clarifying their ownership and activity. - Use coding agents in daily development while assessing their limitations and maintaining engineering quality. - Contribute to security work and explain relevant trade-offs in system design.

Requirements - Experience owning a system through design, implementation, and operation, including making difficult technical decisions. - Practical experience using AI coding agents, with an understanding of where their output can fail. - Some experience with security problems; depth may vary. - Ability to work independently and communicate clearly in a small engineering team.

Benefits and work setup The position is a remote independent contractor role for candidates in the Americas or nearby time zones.
