Senior Researcher

Role overview

Research and develop techniques for blockchain data security and privacy protection, then identify suitable approaches for practical implementation. The work spans cryptography research, algorithm implementation and performance improvement, with opportunities to produce original theoretical or technical results. This is a remote, part-time development role.

Responsibilities

- Investigate security and privacy technologies relevant to blockchain systems. - Evaluate cryptographic approaches and select methods suited to implementation needs. - Research and apply techniques such as homomorphic encryption, secure multiparty computation, and zero-knowledge proofs. - Implement cryptographic algorithms and improve their performance. - Develop original research findings or technical results in the field.

Requirements

- A master’s or doctoral degree in cryptography, cybersecurity, applied mathematics, or a closely related area. - Understanding of blockchain principles and practical knowledge of hash functions, digital signatures, and their implementation. - Familiarity with symmetric and asymmetric encryption, ring signatures, aggregate signatures, and cryptographic standards. - Ability to use common cryptographic algorithms and assess their application to security and privacy problems.

Nice to have

- Knowledge of secure multiparty computation, homomorphic encryption, zero-knowledge proofs, or post-quantum cryptography. - Research publications in recognized cryptography or information security journals or conferences. - Experience designing or developing blockchain or privacy-protection projects.
