About this role
Role overview Build dependable security data foundations and use them to help defenders detect and investigate threats. This hands-on individual contributor role spans telemetry collection, data quality, behavioral analysis, and practical detection work, with a focus on making uncertainty and coverage gaps visible to security responders.
Responsibilities - Inventory security data sources and document ownership, collection methods, freshness, coverage limits, and gaps. - Build and operate batch and streaming pipelines from APIs, event streams, object stores, and internal systems, with support for detecting partial or late data, schema changes, backfills, and replay. - Monitor data quality, including completeness, freshness, duplicates, schema drift, and consistency; route issues to accountable owners. - Develop and evaluate behavioral baselines, anomaly analysis, and correlations across sources, working with Security Operations to improve or retire signals based on outcomes. - Support incident investigations with defensible timelines and scope, turning useful analysis into repeatable queries or detections. - Prepare documented datasets for AI-assisted analysis with appropriate access controls, provenance, freshness indicators, and safe handling of missing data.
Requirements - The available source emphasizes hands-on experience with data pipelines, schemas, and security analysis, but does not include the full qualifications section. - Ability to communicate data coverage gaps, uncertainty, and findings clearly to analysts, engineers, and leaders. - Ability to work with source-system owners to agree on access, schemas, and collection schedules. - A practical approach to making repeatable methods that help the wider team work independently.
Nice to have - Experience with multi-tenant cloud or AI infrastructure, graph-based entity resolution, privacy-sensitive data governance, or data foundations for AI-assisted analysis.
Benefits and work setup - The listing describes flexible work and notes potential bonus and equity, as well as medical, dental, vision, paid time off, parental leave, and retirement benefits. Compensation is listed as a US base salary range of $190,000–$230,000.
