Job details
About this role
Role overview
Build and support the applications, integrations, automations, and AI-enabled workflows that help a global People function operate as one connected system. You will extend established workforce platforms where appropriate and create new services where existing tools fall short. The role owns delivery from design through release and ongoing support, with secure, permission-aware access and reliable human escalation built into agent workflows.
Responsibilities
- Independently design, build, and support custom People applications, tools, and services. - Develop and evaluate tool-using AI agents and workflows, moving useful capabilities from experimentation into production. - Connect workforce platforms and adjacent systems through integrations and automations grounded in authoritative data. - Work with security and corporate engineering teams to enforce user permissions, business approvals, and auditable actions for applications and agents. - Make build-versus-buy and technical design decisions through architecture and security reviews, accounting for existing tools and operating costs. - Own delivery through business acceptance, release, evaluation, and ongoing service; retire redundant tools and manual processes as new capabilities mature.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to independently ship and support custom applications, enterprise integrations, or automation solutions. - Strong skills across application development, APIs, data flows, and automation, with sound judgment about when to configure, integrate, or build. - Experience building production-grade LLM applications and tool-using agents, including use of integration protocols such as MCP. - Practical expertise in workforce platform integrations, security, business processes, and employee data, with understanding of the employee lifecycle. - Ability to turn unclear needs into maintainable solutions, secure access patterns, and realistic delivery commitments. - Clear communication with engineering, People teams, and senior stakeholders about architecture, trade-offs, costs, and risks.
