Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Role overview Architect and maintain the cloud infrastructure behind a venture-backed developer platform used by tens of thousands of developers in production. This remote role focuses on building scalable, secure, multi-tenant infrastructure across multiple cloud providers and turning it into a reliable foundation for self-service and enterprise customers.

Responsibilities - Design and implement scalable cloud infrastructure solutions across AWS, GCP, and Azure - Maintain the secure multi-tenancy stack for self-service users and enterprise customers - Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code for internal and customer-facing platforms - Implement and manage container orchestration systems, including Kubernetes - Operate managed stateful workload offerings and ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery - Collaborate with development teams to streamline deployment and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines

Requirements - 3+ years of cloud infrastructure engineering experience - Strong proficiency in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure) - Expertise with Docker and Kubernetes - Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation - Solid understanding of networking concepts and security best practices - Proficiency in scripting languages such as TypeScript, Rust, Python, or Bash

Nice to have - Multi-cloud architecture experience - Familiarity with KVM, Kata Containers, or gVisor - Service mesh experience (Istio, Envoy, Linkerd) - Experience with application platforms like OpenShift, Tanzu, or Cloud Foundry - Persistent storage experience (Ceph, Rook) - Monitoring and logging tooling (Prometheus, ELK stack) - Serverless computing concepts - Database administration across SQL and NoSQL - Open-source contributions
