Role overview
This senior full-stack developer role supports the technical team operating multiple high-volume eCommerce websites. Although primarily frontend-focused, the position requires a working breadth across the stack using Shopify Plus, React, Node.js, and TypeScript alongside various marketing, CMS, and fulfillment integrations.
Responsibilities
- Write organized, testable, and efficient frontend code with inline documentation - Translate user journeys into effective mobile-first UI designs aligned with brand standards - Participate in code reviews and the QA feedback cycle - Produce supporting documentation as part of each deliverable - Operate within an Agile/Scrum methodology using the Atlassian tool suite - Evaluate and adopt emerging frontend technologies as they become relevant - Contribute to full-stack tasks as needed alongside a hybrid team distributed across North America
Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant experience plus a Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience - Strong expertise in React and Next.js - Expert-level proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript - Expert-level HTML/CSS skills with build tools such as SASS, LESS, Vite, and Webpack - Deep experience with React-based frameworks including Next, Remix, Fastify, and Hydrogen - Advanced Shopify development skills including Shopify CLI, Liquid templates, custom Shopify apps, UI extensions, and Shopify Functions - Advanced git knowledge including rebasing and branching strategies - Working knowledge of CI/CD principles, OAuth providers such as Auth0, and general cybersecurity concepts - Familiarity with backend tools including AWS, Docker, shell operations, and SQL/ORM development - Basic experience with unit testing, functional testing, monitoring, and enterprise CRM/ERP tools such as Salesforce and SAP
Benefits and work setup
- Salary range of $117,000 to $129,000 - Remote or on-site work arrangements available - Hybrid team model with both on-site and distributed members across North America
