Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer

Role overview A remote platform role building the scalable, cost-predictable foundation that client platforms run on. The work centers on infrastructure that is intentionally boring in the best sense, automating toil away and treating security and cost as design constraints rather than clean-up work.

Responsibilities - Design and operate cloud infrastructure on AWS or GCP with everything defined as code. - Build CI/CD pipelines that make shipping to production safe, fast, and unremarkable. - Set up observability and alerting so the team learns about problems before customers do. - Keep performance high and costs predictable, with the ability to explain the bill. - Bake security and compliance into the platform so product teams inherit it automatically.

Requirements - 4+ years in DevOps, platform, or SRE roles on a major cloud provider. - Strong hands-on experience with Terraform or similar, containers, and Kubernetes in production. - Solid scripting and automation instincts, with a habit of deleting toil rather than tolerating it. - A calm, methodical approach to incidents and the discipline to write up what was learned.

Nice to have - Experience with multi-region or multi-tenant architectures. - Cost-optimization stories from past work that you can speak to with some pride. - Security or compliance experience in a regulated industry.
