Senior .NET Developer
Job details
About this role
Role overview
Modernize screens in a mature Windows desktop application, turning dense configuration tasks into polished, guided experiences. You’ll use Figma designs and a prepared .NET/DevExpress WinForms project as a starting point, implement screens independently, and provide components and notes that another engineering team can integrate.
Responsibilities
- Build production-quality desktop interfaces in C# and WinForms using DevExpress controls. - Translate Figma designs into accurate layouts, including spacing, typography, icons, interaction states, and resizing behavior. - Create guided, multi-step workflows with conditional navigation and validation at each stage. - Structure forms and reusable UserControls so presentation remains separate from application logic. - Document extension points and provide concise handoff or integration guidance for the receiving team. - Clarify requirements with client-side engineers, explain implementation choices, and flag uncertainty early.
Requirements
- At least six years of professional C#/.NET development, including four or more years building production WinForms interfaces. - At least two years of recent hands-on DevExpress WinForms experience, including LayoutControl, GridControl, editors, and skins or custom themes. - Demonstrated ability to implement precise desktop UI from design specifications. - Experience building wizard-style workflows in desktop applications. - Ability to create cleanly structured components with a clear presentation/logic separation, such as MVP or MVVM. - Strong English communication skills for client discussions and written explanations. - Ability to work independently from specifications and templates, deliver steadily, and raise ambiguities promptly.
Nice to have
- DevExpress skin, palette, or application-level theme customization; familiarity with WizardControl, StepProgressBar, AccordionControl, or NavigationFrame. - Experience modernizing data-dense interfaces, handling high-DPI or multi-monitor scaling, or working with WPF. - Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows and human review of generated code. - A portfolio, screenshots, open-source work, or other examples of desktop UI development.
Benefits and work setup
- Full-time, long-term remote role for candidates in Latin America, with Argentina, Brazil, and Costa Rica preferred. - Working hours should overlap with US Eastern Time.
