Sr. Systems Engineer, ProAV - North Central

Role overview This senior systems engineering role helps customers design, deploy, and operate professional audio-video systems over IP across the North Central United States. The work spans customer onboarding, field troubleshooting, pre-sales solution design, technical training, and industry events. The position is remote-based and requires substantial regional travel.

Responsibilities - Lead customer onboarding and deliver remote or on-site training on AV-over-IP network design, switch profiles, timing, media protocols, integrations, and video configuration. - Create tailored system designs, training materials, and technical documentation, and help customers transition complex multi-switch, multi-vendor deployments into production. - Troubleshoot advanced timing, multicast, and interoperability problems using logs, packet captures, lab reproduction, and live diagnostics. - Support system commissioning and resolve escalations involving technologies such as AVB, Dante/AES67, Q-SYS, NVX, SMPTE-2059-2, and PTPv2. - Help sales and channel teams scope solutions, prepare bills of materials, demonstrate products, and explain technical trade-offs. - Build scripts and configuration utilities, document best practices, and represent the work at conferences, partner events, and workshops.

Requirements - At least 5 years of experience in networking systems, AV-over-IP, or related systems engineering. - Strong knowledge of professional AV networking, multicast and IGMP, switch profiles, and routing and switching fundamentals. - Hands-on deployment and field troubleshooting experience with AVB, Dante, Q-SYS, Crestron, SMPTE-2059-2, and multicast networks. - Ability to develop an independent lab environment and build expertise through self-directed technical study. - Willingness to travel up to 60% within the North Central region, covering states from the Dakotas and Nebraska through Ohio and Kentucky.

Nice to have - A bachelor’s degree, relevant networking or AV certifications, or experience in systems engineering or solution architecture.
