Remote job
Graphic Designer (12 mos. Contract)
Job details
About this role
Role overview A 12-month contract opportunity for a graphic designer to join a small, intentionally lean in-house creative team supporting the consumer side of a consumer technology brand. The role sits on the campaign, web, social, and print execution track, reporting to a Creative Lead and partnering with a UI designer and copywriter to take work from concept through to production-ready files.
Responsibilities - Produce assets spanning web, social, paid ads, email templates, campaign work, retail signage, event booth graphics, and sales collateral, working from briefs alongside the UI designer and Creative Lead. - Bring concept thinking into discussions, not only execution, and propose creative directions of your own. - Adapt campaign concepts into full asset sets across formats, sizes, and channels while keeping the work cohesive. - Apply and help extend an established brand system across everything produced, maintaining consistency as new needs emerge. - Prepare and hand off production-ready files for both screen and print, with an eye on detail at every stage. - Incorporate AI tools into ideation, iteration, and production, applying judgment about when automated output needs to be reworked by hand. - Collaborate directly with stakeholders across marketing, product, and web, and coordinate with senior marketing leadership on global campaign alignment.
Requirements - 4+ years of professional graphic design experience, ideally in-house or on a brand side; direct-to-consumer, ecommerce, or consumer tech background is a strong plus. - Portfolio showing volume and range (campaign systems, social sets, web work) rather than only showpiece pieces, with context on the constraints behind each project. - Strong Figma fluency paired with solid Adobe Creative Cloud skills. - Practical, working experience using AI tools in a design workflow, with active interest in testing new tools as they appear. - Sharp eye for spacing, alignment, typography, and colour, with errors caught before review. - Comfort working within an existing brand system rather than reinventing one per project, and the organizational discipline to manage several projects at once.
Nice to have - Video and motion experience, including AI video and editing tools, as the team wants to push this direction over time. - Print production know-how, including bleed, colour profiles, and file prep to a printer's spec. - Experience working alongside a design system or component library.
Benefits and work setup - Fully remote within Canada, with West Coast or PST working hours preferred. - Shared project board-based workflow with short review cycles. - Tooling provided, including Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, and an AI imagery seat, plus support for training on new tools, particularly AI.
