This hands-on management role combines roadmap ownership and stakeholder leadership with direct involvement in requirements, solution design, releases, quality, and production support.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain a sequenced platform roadmap, balancing business initiatives, support demand, reliability, and technical debt. - Run intake and prioritization; clarify requests, assess scope and effort, and keep a backlog with clear owners and acceptance criteria. - Work with administrators, developers, and business partners on configuration, Flow, data, security, integrations, and operational issues. - Review technical designs and Apex solutions for maintainability, testing, security, and downstream impact. - Set release and readiness practices; coordinate functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing, deployments, and production validation. - Document processes and decisions, guide contributors, and communicate progress, constraints, and trade-offs to senior stakeholders.
Requirements
- Substantial experience leading and working directly in a mature Salesforce environment, including ownership of a roadmap, backlog, release process, or operating model. - Strong practical knowledge of Sales Cloud and platform administration, with experience translating business needs into scalable solutions. - Experience across requirements gathering, prioritization, QA, UAT, release management, and deployments. - Ability to work across configuration, Flow, data, security, integrations, and technical design; enough Apex knowledge to assess work and collaborate with developers. - Experience supporting complex integrations and cross-functional processes, resolving competing priorities, and explaining trade-offs to senior leaders. - Strong documentation, process design, stakeholder management, and hands-on team leadership skills.
