Role overview
A senior technical program management role inside a fintech organization that builds technology for banks, credit unions, and other financial institutions. The position owns the strategic, end-to-end delivery of complex software products and partners with cross-functional leadership to align teams on high-impact outcomes and scalable architectures.
Responsibilities
- Drive end-to-end product execution by partnering with stakeholders to define requirements and oversee implementation - Facilitate technical design reviews and evaluate architectural trade-offs between scalability and speed-to-market - Optimize the software development lifecycle to remove bottlenecks and ensure predictable, high-quality releases - Manage complex cross-team dependencies and mitigate technical risks before they stall delivery - Translate high-level requirements into actionable technical plans, API contracts, and system diagrams - Coordinate alignment across Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Legal, and InfoSec teams - Establish data-driven governance using KPIs and OKRs for executive-level program visibility - Integrate AI tools and agentic workflows to automate routine reporting and documentation tasks
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical technical experience - 10+ years of technical program management experience leading large-scale software delivery - 10+ years managing end-to-end SDLC for complex distributed systems - Expertise with modern delivery tools such as Jira and Agile frameworks - 10+ years in strategic roadmapping, resource allocation, and technical risk mitigation - Experience integrating AI tools into workflows to increase personal and team velocity
Nice to have
- 3+ years of direct experience in a technical role such as SWE, SRE, DevOps, or Systems Architect - Experience leading systemic change management within an engineering organization - Background working in fintech
