Role overview A lead architect role for business data analytics at a public-relations and media-intelligence platform, defining an AI-first data and analytics architecture. The position modernizes the analytics stack and partners across data science, engineering, product, and revenue operations to enable trusted, self-service data experiences. The team operates as a fully distributed, remote-first organization.
Responsibilities - Define and drive the target architecture for an AI-first enterprise data and analytics platform, setting technical direction and consolidation patterns. - Architect scalable ingestion, transformation, and storage frameworks across Snowflake, Databricks, dbt, SQL, and Python. - Design governed semantic data layers and the supporting architecture for AI agents, natural language querying, and conversational analytics. - Establish architecture patterns for retrieval, APIs, and integrations that let AI agents and applications securely access trusted enterprise data. - Evolve data governance, security, privacy, and access control patterns across the analytics stack, balancing accessibility with appropriate safeguards. - Set engineering standards for testing, CI/CD, observability, documentation, and deployment, and provide mentorship to analytics engineers.
Requirements - 7+ years designing and evolving modern data and analytics architectures with cross-system, cross-team impact. - Deep hands-on experience with Snowflake, Databricks, dbt, Python, and SQL. - Experience designing scalable data models, transformation pipelines, and semantic or metrics layers for trusted self-service analytics. - Experience architecting AI-enabled data systems, such as natural language analytics, AI agents, RAG, vector search, or LLM-powered workflows. - Strong knowledge of enterprise data governance, security, privacy, access control, and data quality practices. - Demonstrated ability to set technical direction, evaluate architectural trade-offs, and influence teams without relying on direct authority.
