About this role
Role overview A Custom System Integration Consultant position focused on delivering technical integration and implementation work for unified communications and contact center deployments. The role manages the full solution lifecycle, from requirements analysis and design through development, deployment, and in-service support, working largely independently across multiple concurrent projects.
Responsibilities - Analyse integration requests through customer dialogue and produce detailed Statements of Work. - Assess technical feasibility based on available interfaces from internal and third-party products, and estimate development effort. - Co-author and obtain approval of Solution Design Documents covering messaging formats, protocols, database schemas, and call flows. - Develop custom solutions and reporting applications per approved specifications, then deliver them with installation and troubleshooting instructions. - Lead demonstrations of proof-of-concept and finalized developments. - Provide in-service support and maintain professional relationships with internal and external customers, including activity logging and expenses.
Requirements - Degree in Computer Science or Software Design (preferred) plus five or more years in custom solution software development. - Strong SQL proficiency and experience with Microsoft SQL Server architecture. - Application development skills in .NET, C++/C#, JavaScript, Java, HTML, SOAP, WSDL, RESTful APIs, and XML. - Familiarity with modern telephony and contact center or unified communications platforms. - Working knowledge of Windows server administration, Microsoft Office, and Azure cloud services.
Nice to have - Experience integrating payment gateways, CRM, or workforce management systems. - Exposure to custom reporting using Microsoft Power BI or similar tools. - Agile development lifecycle experience. - Willingness to occasionally travel to customer sites and flexibility in scheduling.
