Role overview
Own the systems that determine whether card purchases and digital-wallet transactions are approved, declined, matched, and processed reliably. This senior platform role focuses on authorization and transaction infrastructure, balancing fraud protection, customer access, operational resilience, and rapid delivery of new capabilities. You will act as a technical bridge among fraud, product, engineering, vendors, and leadership.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, configure, and optimize authorization settings, decline performance, transaction matching, and platform health across card-processing and network systems. - Partner with fraud teams on token lifecycles, stand-in processing, virtual cards, and policies governing over-limit authorizations. - Map transaction and authorization data across customer-facing applications and improve token-provisioning capabilities. - Maintain monitoring dashboards, alerting, reporting, analytical queries, and tools for interpreting authorization logs. - Establish repeatable testing workbooks and release practices for authorization and transaction changes. - Investigate platform capabilities, document decisions, support roadmap discovery, and provide backup coverage for related card-account functions.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on expertise with TSYS TS2 authorization and transaction processing. - Demonstrated ability to solve complex platform problems proactively with limited supervision. - Experience translating technical platform behavior for fraud, product, engineering, vendors, and senior leaders. - Strong written and verbal communication, including independently developing and presenting recommendations. - Experience building or maintaining authorization monitoring, alerting, and reporting infrastructure. - Experience designing and executing testing plans for production platform changes.
Nice to have
- Experience optimizing digital-wallet and token-provisioning configurations. - SQL skills for authorization analysis, monitoring, and troubleshooting. - Familiarity with Agile practices and tools such as Jira or Confluence.
Benefits and work setup
- Ability to travel approximately 4–6 times per year for in-person collaboration. - Published starting base salary range: $123,000–$150,000 USD. - Eligibility for annual incentive and equity programs. - Comprehensive benefits are available; compensation may vary based on experience, education, certifications, training, skills, and related competencies.
