Software Engineer (L2) - Platform Integrations
Job details
About this role
Role overview Develop and maintain software integrations across modern services and established .NET applications. The work includes APIs, shared libraries, and event-driven or asynchronous flows, with ownership from design and testing through production support. You will also help identify reusable integration patterns and contribute to an enterprise integration platform.
Responsibilities - Build integration features, REST APIs, and shared libraries that follow established contracts and architectural patterns. - Extend integration logic in existing products, including large monolithic applications, to support customer connections. - Write unit and integration tests, contribute to acceptance and end-to-end coverage, and address issues through production. - Participate in the integrations support and on-call rotation; investigate failures across service boundaries and communicate blockers early. - Contribute to API standards for contracts, versioning, and deprecation, and identify recurring patterns suitable for shared platform services. - Take part in design discussions and code reviews, document implementation decisions, and help onboard less experienced colleagues.
Requirements - At least three years of professional software engineering experience delivering production features independently. - Strong C# and .NET skills, including substantial experience with .NET Framework and large established codebases. - Experience developing or supporting production APIs and integration features, with understanding of contracts, versioning, and synchronous and asynchronous flows. - Knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and core software design principles. - Experience with Git, Docker, automated testing, and modern scripting languages. - A relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, and regular hands-on use of AI coding tools across development work.
Nice to have - Experience with Azure, event-driven architecture, messaging or streaming, distributed systems, API gateways, or third-party integrations. - Acceptance or end-to-end testing experience, including Playwright; familiarity with VB.NET or AI agent harness mechanics. - Background in financial services or fintech.
