Role overview Provide senior technical leadership for a portfolio of roughly 10 custom applications, including backend and application-layer development, cloud infrastructure, and data systems. The work includes modernizing legacy interfaces and reporting, maintaining secure operations within a federal authorization framework, and guiding other developers.
Responsibilities - Develop, enhance, and maintain custom applications built with Microsoft technologies. - Design and operate scalable, secure infrastructure in Azure, while supporting application stability and compliance requirements. - Lead the migration of reports from SSRS to Power BI and modernization from WebForms to ASP.NET Core. - Design and maintain complex SQL Server databases, using advanced T-SQL and keeping data dictionaries, metadata, and report lineage documented. - Support secure coding, vulnerability remediation, authorization artifacts, and enterprise data management practices. - Provide technical direction and code reviews to junior developers.
Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field; the listing specifies no equivalencies. - At least 8 years of professional software development experience and a record of leading projects or providing technical oversight. - Prior support for a federal government agency, directly or through a contractor. - Significant Azure experience, including Databricks, Synapse, API Management, Functions, App Services, Blob Storage, and Azure Monitor. - Experience with ASP.NET Core, C#, T-SQL, Power BI, and Kendo UI. - Eligibility to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship, and ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
Nice to have - Advanced Microsoft certifications. - Federal authorization or risk management framework experience.
Benefits and work setup The stated salary range is $135,000–$150,000. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, federal holidays, and a matching 401(k).
