Remote job
D365 Project Manager, Managed Services
Job details
About this role
Role overview This is a blended portfolio project management role covering three distinct disciplines simultaneously: live managed-services support for Dynamics 365 clients, fixed-scope enhancement work, and one or more full life-cycle implementations from diagnosis through go-live. The position requires someone who can switch cleanly between queue-driven support, small project execution, and multi-phase program leadership without letting any stream undermine the others. It is a remote, home-based role with significant travel expected.
Responsibilities - Own multiple concurrent client engagements, holding scope, deliverables, and expectations on each one while protecting them from cross-stream disruption. - Build and maintain project artifacts including plans, cost estimates, resource plans, risk/issue logs, and communication plans using PMI-aligned practices. - Run managed-services support against service-level commitments, including incident, problem, and change management. - Lead enhancement work through formal change control, capturing the financial and schedule impact of every approved change. - Direct full life-cycle implementation work: critical path, go-live and cutover rehearsal, go/no-go criteria, hypercare staffing, and steering-committee reporting. - Coordinate the client-side workstreams the program depends on, including business process decisions, data readiness, integration counterparties, testing, training, and organizational adoption.
Requirements - 4+ years directly managing software implementation deployments, with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations or Customer Engagement strongly preferred. - Demonstrated experience running both project-based delivery and ongoing support or managed services delivery, ideally at the same time. - Working familiarity with full IT implementation lifecycles across diagnosis, analysis, design, development, deployment, and operation. - Track record managing competing priorities across multiple concurrent clients, with strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills. - Comfort with budgets, forecasts, and contract terms, plus the ability to communicate progress to senior executives. - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, and willingness to travel up to 50%.
Nice to have - End-to-end delivery of at least one full Dynamics 365 implementation. - ITIL-aligned service management practice, PMI certification, or a Microsoft Dynamics 365 certification. - ERP implementation lead experience in manufacturing.
Benefits and work setup - Remote, home-based office with travel up to 50%. - Base salary range of $105,000 to $160,000, plus a quarterly supplemental compensation (bonus) plan.
