Technical Program Manager - UK

Role overview A Technical Program Manager role focused on leading technical workstreams and coordinating delivery across engineering teams for a payments and card-issuing platform. The position sits inside a Product Operations and Technical Program Management function that operates as the connective tissue between engineering, product, AI/tech, go-to-market, and customer-facing teams. The mission is to drive complex initiatives from concept through completion, on time and within scope.

Responsibilities - Drive technical projects end-to-end, managing scope, schedule, and resources - Identify dependencies, risks, and issues, and develop mitigation strategies - Facilitate communication between engineering, product, design, and business teams - Lead technical planning, estimation, and prioritization sessions - Document technical decisions and keep stakeholders aligned - Provide regular status updates to leadership and remove obstacles for engineering teams - Balance technical tradeoffs against business requirements and timelines

Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field - 3+ years of technical program or project management experience - Strong understanding of relevant technologies and software development methodologies and processes such as the secure software development lifecycle - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences - Demonstrated experience coordinating cross-functional engineering and product work

Benefits and work setup Remote within the UK, or hybrid from a London (Holborn) office. Candidates based within 35 miles of the London office are expected on-site two days per week (Tuesday and Thursday), with remote flexibility on other days.
