Senior QA Automation Engineer - SDET

Role overview Work on the core quality engineering team for a distributed in-memory data platform used in modern application stacks. The role blends hands-on test automation, framework design, and deep technical investigation of distributed systems behaviour across transactions, replication, networking, storage, and cluster management. It suits an experienced engineer who enjoys making complex, high-scale systems measurably more reliable.

Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain automated tests and supporting frameworks for functional and performance testing. - Take part in release validation activities and contribute to improving the release testing process. - Verify new features, bug fixes, and performance improvements against expected behaviour. - Investigate complex issues spanning distributed transactions, replication, networking, storage, and cluster management. - Build automation that reduces manual effort and raises team productivity.

Requirements - At least five years in software quality assurance and test automation, or in software engineering with a testing focus. - Strong Java programming skills and familiarity with the wider Java ecosystem. - Proven experience designing, developing, and maintaining automated tests and frameworks. - Hands-on testing experience with distributed or backend systems. - Working understanding of at least three areas: multithreading, concurrency, networking, distributed systems concepts, transactions, and consistency models.

Nice to have Experience with NoSQL or distributed databases, ideally Apache Ignite or GridGain; Docker and Kubernetes; relational databases; applying modern AI tools to engineering productivity; performance testing, profiling, and troubleshooting complex systems.
