Job details
About this role
Role overview
Lead the digital product roadmap for a direct-to-consumer footwear brand that blends traditional craftsmanship with modern e-commerce. Reporting to the VP of Digital, this role guides day-to-day site operations, partners with development and platform teams, and supports multiple business lines that share a single digital backbone. The first year is foundational: much of the structure is still being built, so the right candidate will shape processes, priorities, and platform capabilities from the ground up.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute product strategy, requirements, and release schedules that align with overall business goals across DTC, wholesale, marketplace, and retail channels. - Translate high-priority roadmap concepts into polished, user-centric site enhancements that elevate engagement and brand experience. - Evaluate proposed site updates by weighing technical effort against revenue and commercial impact, and track performance against target KPIs to drive ongoing optimization. - Build and maintain standard operating procedures covering the full rollout lifecycle, from initial scoping through deployment and post-launch review. - Manage day-to-day site operations along with agency and vendor relationships, including scope, SLAs, budget, and performance. - Partner across operations, merchandising, and leadership teams to streamline workflows, align on organizational targets, and support internal growth. - Monitor emerging technology and e-commerce trends to surface new feature opportunities, and oversee compliance and accessibility programs end to end.
Requirements
- Proven success collaborating strategically with cross-functional partners to achieve shared business outcomes. - Deep, hands-on Shopify Plus experience (or comparable enterprise commerce platform), including themes, apps, and integrations. - Demonstrated CRO track record, supported by fluency in the analytics and experimentation stack that powers it. - Experience owning onsite merchandising through seasonal launches and promotional windows, balancing commercial targets against brand and customer experience. - History of directing internal or agency developers from scoping through QA and release. - Ability to introduce order to an unstructured request environment through intake and prioritization processes that enable scale. - Clear, inspiring leadership style with the ability to set objectives and design strategies that align the team.
Nice to have
- Genuine passion for digital brand experience and the customer journey, paired with a commitment to staying current on best practices in both tech and consumer retail.
Benefits and work setup
- Remote position based in the United States, with East Coast hours preferred. - Full-time role with a salary range of $130,000–$160,000, commensurate with experience. - Medical, dental, and vision coverage included. - Paid time off and paid sick leave. - Employee discount on brand products. - Close-knit, mission-driven team culture.
