Role overview A fully remote senior engineering role delivering complex Microsoft Power Platform solutions for a U.S. federal defense customer in a GCC/GCC-High tenant. The position combines deep hands-on development with technical leadership, mentorship, and stakeholder engagement on small-to-medium projects. The focus is on replacing legacy manual processes with scalable, analytics-driven low-code applications.
Responsibilities - Design and build advanced, high-performance Canvas Apps with responsive UI/UX tailored to DoD constraints. - Engineer intricate Power Automate Cloud Flows that perform heavy data transformations while minimizing premium-connector dependencies. - Lead the creation of Power BI reports and dashboards, embedding analytics directly into canvas apps or Teams channels. - Analyze legacy systems and build custom ETL pipelines that integrate data into scalable relational schemas on SharePoint or Dataverse for Teams. - Translate complex business requirements from analysts and stakeholders into actionable technical designs and data models. - Serve as the primary technical resource for mid-level developers through code reviews, advanced troubleshooting, and development best practices.
Requirements - 8+ years of professional software development experience. - Advanced proficiency in Power Apps (canvas), Power Automate Cloud flows, and Power BI. - Expertise designing scalable relational data models using Dataverse for Teams and SharePoint. - Deep understanding of Power Platform licensing, with a track record of engineering solutions that minimize or eliminate premium connectors. - Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Business. - U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain a Secret-level security clearance.
Nice to have - Microsoft Power Platform Applied Skills or certifications. - Experience supporting the Department of the Air Force, DoD, or other federal agencies within GCC/GCC-High tenants. - Active participation in Agile/Scrum delivery teams. - Extending Power Platform with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or the Power Apps Component Framework (PCF).
