Role overview Fully remote executive-level opportunity for a Director of Infrastructure Engineering to direct the technical architecture, systems engineering, and implementation of automated, AI-first enterprise infrastructure. The role serves as principal architect for multi-cloud, Zero Trust platforms and leads the reinvention of IT operations toward autonomous, agentic orchestration.
Responsibilities - Oversee architectural design of resilient multi-cloud environments using GCP networking fabrics, Shared VPCs, Cloud Routers, and secure Cloud Interconnects aligned with NIST 800-207 Zero Trust frameworks - Automate centralized security governance and policy distribution using Palo Alto Panorama and micro-segmented Next-Generation Firewalls - Architect and deploy production-grade Code Mode MCP servers across systems such as Netskope, BigFix, ServiceNow, Silverpeak, Aruba Central, Okta, and Palo Alto Panorama - Build unified orchestration layers using MCP Gateway Registry with agent identity management and permission scoping - Engineer and maintain centralized Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code libraries with automated rightsizing and spend tracking
Requirements - B.S. in Computer Science, M.S. in Information Technology, or equivalent degree - 15+ years of progressively responsible network engineering experience - Extensive background architecting multi-cloud networks across GCP, Azure, AWS, and OCI - Deep Terraform module expertise and cloud resource FinOps experience - Centralized security governance, micro-segmentation, and Zero Trust implementation at enterprise scale
Nice to have - Experience with AIOps pipelines using Vertex AI and OpenAI, SD-WAN orchestration, and large-scale cloud migration engineering
Benefits and work setup Fully remote position. Projected compensation range is $152,200–$273,900, depending on experience, skills, education, certifications, and contract labor category.
