Senior Data Engineer

Role overview Build customer-facing data products that help businesses in the single-family housing market make decisions about underwriting, leasing, vendor management, and related operations. As a senior contributor on a small data platform team, you’ll shape data architecture and engineering practices while working closely with product and data science colleagues.

Responsibilities - Design durable data models that represent residential real estate clearly and consistently. - Build reliable workflows that produce high-quality data assets for customer use. - Help guide the architecture and evolution of the data platform. - Set engineering standards and practices that improve the quality and maintainability of data systems. - Develop expertise in the real estate domain and apply it to product data needs. - Partner with product and data science teams to turn data engineering work into shipped capabilities.

Requirements - At least six years of experience in data engineering or software engineering. - Strong background in data architecture, data modeling, and pipelines built to operate at scale. - Proficiency with SQL, Python, and/or Spark. - Experience with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery. - Experience scheduling and operating batch data processing workflows.

Nice to have - Familiarity with Airflow, Prefect, Dagster, or similar workflow orchestration tools. - Data warehouse architecture or change data capture modeling experience. - Experience extracting data from websites or public and semi-structured sources. - Familiarity with AI/ML platforms such as SageMaker or MLflow. - Experience managing data platform infrastructure with tools such as Terraform, Docker, or AWS services.
