About this role
Role overview Own the product strategy and roadmap for regulatory reporting and disclosure solutions used by financial institutions, covering areas such as ESG reporting, regulatory filing disclosures, and financial filing packages like Solvency II. The role bridges customer needs with engineering by translating regulatory requirements into clear user stories and driving agile delivery across an enterprise performance management suite.
Responsibilities - Act as the voice of the customer within an agile team, partnering with software and quality engineers throughout planning and delivery - Run customer focus groups to gather feedback and refine the roadmap - Define and drive the product roadmap for regulatory solutions, ensuring alignment with evolving compliance mandates - Coordinate across the EPM Suite to ensure tight integration from data collection through regulatory disclosure and filing - Apply XBRL knowledge to guide taxonomy mapping, tagging, and validation against filing standards - Create, refine, and prioritize epics, features, stories, and acceptance criteria to maintain a high-value backlog - Lead release and sprint planning, set goals, and conduct sprint reviews from a business and customer perspective - Mitigate risks and issues affecting release and sprint outcomes - Produce documentation with product and marketing teams to support launch, sales, support, and services
Requirements - Bachelor's degree - 5+ years of proven success in product ownership or product management - 5+ years of experience with agile software development practices such as Scrum, Kanban, or Lean Agile and related tools - 5+ years of ability to negotiate a backlog with engineers and senior leadership - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority - Skill in balancing conflicting priorities and making critical decisions - Knowledge of XBRL and its application in regulatory financial filings, including ESEF, iXBRL, SEC/EDGAR, taxonomy mapping, tagging, and validation - Domain experience with financial regulatory compliance frameworks such as Solvency II, CSRD/ESG reporting, IFRS, or equivalent disclosure and filing requirements
Nice to have - Certifications such as Agile, Pragmatic Marketing, Project Management, or Scrum Product Owner - Experience partnering with UX teams to design strong solutions - Familiarity with EPM solutions spanning consolidation, planning, and reporting
