Role overview
A senior product designer is needed on a contract basis to lead design within a core product area of an AI-driven growth platform serving real estate professionals. The designer will own end-to-end product experiences, from early discovery through polished, development-ready execution, partnering closely with product and engineering counterparts. This role suits someone who operates independently, values craft, and is motivated by solving real user problems in a fast-moving environment.
Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end user experiences, spanning discovery research, low-fidelity exploration, and detailed production-ready artifacts - Stay close to user needs through interviews, usability testing, and ongoing collaboration with cross-functional teammates - Translate research insights into clear, accessible solutions that handle multiple states and edge cases - Partner with product managers and engineers to frame problems, evaluate tradeoffs, and identify the right direction - Prototype concepts rapidly at appropriate fidelity, then iterate based on feedback and testing - Contribute to the shared design system, ensuring patterns remain reusable, accessible, and well-documented - Share work early, participate in critique, and help elevate overall team quality
Requirements
- Five or more years of product design experience - Track record of shipping digital products within cross-functional teams - Portfolio demonstrating user-centered problem solving, strong UX thinking, and high visual craft - Proficiency in Figma, including component libraries, prototyping, and design tokens - Clear, confident communication of design rationale, user needs, and tradeoffs - Strong eye for visual and interaction design, with judgment about when to polish versus ship - Curiosity, empathy, and a focus on improving user outcomes through design
