About this role
Role overview Serve as a technical partner to engineering teams evaluating a real-time communications and AI agent platform. You’ll work with sales colleagues and customers from early discovery through architecture, demonstrations, proofs of concept, and production deployment, while sharing field feedback with product and engineering teams.
Responsibilities - Lead technical work on strategic customer opportunities, shaping requirements, architecture, demonstrations, and technical decisions. - Recommend cloud architectures and deployment approaches for hosted or self-managed environments. - Build customer-specific live demonstrations and reusable example applications for voice agents, video workflows, and telephony integrations. - Define success measures for proofs of concept, guide their delivery, and help teams move into production. - Help customers reason through connectivity, infrastructure, latency, scale, and reliability trade-offs. - Create developer-facing materials such as guides, articles, webinars, or presentations, and relay customer needs to product and engineering teams.
Requirements - Four or more years in solutions architecture, sales engineering, or customer-facing engineering, or comparable hands-on engineering experience with strong customer skills. - Practical experience architecting, deploying, and debugging applications on AWS, GCP, or Azure. - Familiarity with containers, Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, and networking concepts such as load balancing, DNS, and firewalls. - Ability to assess end-to-end connectivity and latency, including the effects of architecture, network paths, compute, and model choices. - Strong programming skills in Python, TypeScript/Node, or Go. - Clear communication skills for technical demos, presentations, and writing.
Nice to have - Knowledge of real-time media protocols such as WebRTC, RTP/SRTP, or WebSockets and their quality and latency trade-offs. - Familiarity with voice AI components such as speech recognition and synthesis, language models, turn detection, or SIP telephony. - Technical writing, open-source contributions, or speaking at meetups and conferences.
Benefits and work setup - Flexible vacation policy, competitive salary and equity, and opportunities to contribute to open-source software.
