Machine Learning Engineer

Role overview We are hiring a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to design, build, and maintain production ML systems that drive bidding, ranking, and targeting decisions inside a large-scale mobile app performance marketing platform. The role sits on an applied ML team that owns the full lifecycle of models in production, from research scouting through training pipelines, deployment, and ongoing monitoring.

Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain ML models that feed directly into production decision systems influencing business outcomes - Build or adopt tooling to support large model training and serving, with an emphasis on developer velocity and reliability - Track current ML research and translate promising ideas into experiments the team can run - Design and scale efficient ML pipelines for both real-time and batch processing - Monitor model performance, detect drift, and automate retraining workflows - Communicate statistical and ML concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical collaborators - Contribute to an engineering culture built on code review, risk-driven testing, and explainable systems

Requirements

- 3+ years of industry experience applying machine learning, including neural networks, to large-scale problems - Deep knowledge of machine learning, optimization, and data analysis techniques - Hands-on experience running deep neural networks in production at scale - Strong engineering and coding skills with a record of timely project delivery - M.S. or higher in Machine Learning, Mathematics, Physics, or a related quantitative field (PhD a plus)

Nice to have

- Experience working in an ad optimization stack covering targeting, ranking, or bidding

- Eligible for full-time remote work in select U.S. states, with U.S. hubs in the SF Bay Area, Los Angeles, and New York City - Quarterly in-person team gatherings for collaboration, project meetings, and company-wide events - Full compensation package including equity and health, vision, and dental benefits - Base compensation ranges from $165,000–$225,000 in most approved locations, with higher bands of $180,000–$245,000 in the SF Bay Area, Los Angeles/Orange County, NYC, and Seattle
