Remote job
Senior Software Engineer II, Mobile - Revenue Experimentation (AI Native)
Job details
About this role
Role overview
A senior mobile engineering role focused on designing and shipping high-velocity growth and monetization experiments across a large-scale consumer application. The position centers on Android development with an AI-native engineering approach, treating AI tooling as a first-class collaborator throughout the software development lifecycle. The engineer partners closely with product, design, data science, and analytics to turn hypotheses into running, well-instrumented tests that shape revenue decisions.
Responsibilities
- Design and ship high-quality Android features and experiments spanning subscription paywalls, pricing tests, ad placement and mediation, in-app purchases, and upsell or upgrade flows, often running many concurrent tests at once - Partner with product, design, data science, and analytics to convert hypotheses into shippable experiments and use results to drive the next decision - Orchestrate AI coding agents as a primary workflow to draft specs, generate code and tests, verify outputs, and perform reviews - Build accurate instrumentation and exposure logging so downstream analytics and decision-making remain trustworthy - Deliver polished, performant Android experiences at scale, with attention to startup time, memory, battery usage, ANRs, and crash-free rates - Turn loosely-defined ideas into working versions in front of real users quickly, treating the first cut as a learning tool rather than a final answer - Help document AI-native Android engineering practices and playbooks that other mobile teams can adopt
Requirements
- Senior-level experience shipping production Android applications at meaningful scale - Comfort working fluidly across mobile and adjacent platforms, including iOS, web, or backend, when an experiment demands it - Track record partnering with product, design, and data teams to ship evidence-based experiments - Proficiency treating AI tooling as a first-class collaborator in day-to-day engineering work - Care for instrumentation, analytics quality, and the reliability signals downstream teams depend on - Self-directed mindset with the ability to move from a rough idea or partial spec to a running, safely-instrumented experiment
Nice to have
- Background helping teammates earlier in their AI workflow adoption get up to speed - Demonstrated ability to stay current on fast-moving AI tooling and surface recommendations to the team - Experience documenting engineering practices that get adopted beyond a single team
