Role overview
Serve as the technical link between advanced cooling equipment and data-center projects. The work combines design-review, equipment application, proposal support and customer-facing engineering, helping ensure that cooling systems are correctly selected, configured, documented and supported through installation and startup.
Responsibilities
- Review drawings, schedules and submittals for equipment selection, capacity and hydronic-configuration accuracy. - Work directly with customer and consulting engineers to evaluate and validate cooling-system applications. - Provide technical equipment selections and scope input to support accurate estimates and proposals. - Assist project managers with technical questions, drawing conflicts, RFIs and submittal responses. - Answer customer application questions through installation, commissioning and startup activities. - Capture field feedback and communicate it to research and product-development teams to improve product quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline. - Eight or more years of mechanical-engineering experience in cooling-equipment application or design review. - Strong expertise in data-center cooling systems. - Experience with chillers, coolant distribution units and liquid-cooling solutions for AI or hyperscale deployments. - Background in applications engineering at a cooling-equipment manufacturer. - Ability to interpret mechanical design documents, equipment schedules and hydronic schematics, with strong communication skills when working with clients and consultants.
