Role overview
A senior pre-sales engineering role partnering closely with enterprise prospects and customers as a trusted technical advisor. The position spans technical discovery, solution design, and proof-of-concept delivery, supporting both new-logo acquisition and expansion of existing accounts across multiple verticals.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery, architecture design, and proof-of-concept implementation throughout the pre-sales cycle for enterprise opportunities. - Partner with account executives and customer success to craft compelling, technically grounded value propositions. - Deliver high-impact demonstrations, workshops, and proposals tailored to both C-level and engineering audiences. - Build credibility with technical champions and act as a strategic advisor on accounts. - Relay customer feedback to internal product and engineering teams and influence the product roadmap. - Translate complex client requirements into scalable, sustainable technical solutions, respond to RFPs, and maintain demo environments. - Mentor junior solutions engineers, contribute to SE tooling and process improvements, and represent the company at industry events.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in solutions engineering, sales engineering, or a customer-facing systems architecture role. - Practical background across the software development lifecycle, cloud architecture, or DevOps. - Extensive knowledge of major cloud platforms with demonstrated depth in at least one (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud). - Track record of leading and documenting proofs of concept and cultivating technical and deal champions. - Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting thought leadership to external audiences. - Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. - Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time.
