Backend & Database Engineer

Role overview Design and maintain backend services and data layers for SaaS and ERP products. You’ll own database structure, secure access, and reporting reliability for business data, balancing feature delivery with accuracy, performance, and long-term support.

Responsibilities - Lead PostgreSQL schema design, database migrations, indexing, and query tuning. - Build secure APIs and apply role-based or row-level access controls. - Support integrations, webhooks, and reporting pipelines. - Investigate production data problems methodically. - Coordinate API contracts and failure handling with full-stack engineers.

Requirements - Strong experience with PostgreSQL in production systems. - Background working with sensitive or high-integrity business data, such as finance or operations data. - Ability to build API services with Node.js or Python. - Security-conscious practices for authorization, secrets, and auditability.
