Arity - Software Engineer Intern

Role overview As a software engineering intern, you’ll contribute to a product or infrastructure team building and supporting software for mobility and transportation use cases. The work combines cloud-based development with Agile team practices, giving you experience across planning, design, implementation, testing, and support. The expected start is May or June 2027.

Responsibilities - Join iteration planning, daily team check-ins, and retrospectives to clarify work and improve how the team delivers. - Help design systems and applications with teammates, keeping user needs in view. - Write software through paired programming and test-driven development. - Contribute to continuous integration, delivery, and deployment pipelines. - Support software products in user environments and collaborate with teammates across time zones.

Requirements - Be a rising sophomore, junior, or senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a similar field. - Have a solid grasp of computer science fundamentals and object-oriented design. - Know at least one programming language and be able to learn new languages quickly. - Have knowledge of automated testing and monitoring approaches and tools.

Nice to have - Experience with Java, Kotlin, Go, Scala, or Python, and backend development, databases, messaging, or large-scale data systems. - Familiarity with cloud infrastructure on AWS or GCP, infrastructure-as-code, or automation with Python or Bash in Linux/Unix. - Exposure to API security, testing frameworks, or build and packaging tools.
