Role overview
Provide foundational operations support across the commercial insurance policy lifecycle, helping service teams process transactions accurately and consistently. This detail-focused role covers policy records, billing, carrier documents, certificates, and other workflow activities within a structured operations environment. It can suit candidates new to commercial insurance as well as insurance professionals moving into a specialized technical support function.
Responsibilities
- Process new accounts, renewals, endorsements, audits, cancellations, and reinstatements according to established procedures. - Handle assigned direct-bill and agency-bill support activities and maintain dependable billing records. - Enter and update policy data, activities, and documentation in Applied EPIC while following operations standards. - Review policies, invoices, and notices issued by carriers for completeness and accuracy before recording the information. - Prepare Certificates of Insurance, Evidence of Property documents, and Auto ID cards through the designated systems. - Track daily production, meet turnaround SLAs and volume goals, maintain low error rates, and contribute to workflow documentation improvements.
Requirements
- Commercial insurance experience is optional; prior insurance knowledge may support a transition into the role. - Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word. - Technical aptitude and the ability to learn Applied EPIC and other operational tools. - Careful, consistent execution of structured processes with a strong focus on data integrity. - Ability to perform effectively in a high-volume environment with deadlines and measurable production expectations. - Dependable organization, time management, personal accountability, and appropriate escalation skills.
