About this role
Role overview Create and improve WordPress websites through custom theme and plugin development, with a focus on quality, security, speed, and usability. The role spans front and backend implementation, content and commerce integrations, and deployment practices.
Responsibilities - Develop and customize WordPress themes and plugins. - Implement site features with PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. - Work with Gutenberg, Advanced Custom Fields, and WooCommerce where needed. - Improve website performance and apply SEO practices. - Manage code with version control and support deployment workflows. - Collaborate with a team to deliver and maintain reliable websites.
Requirements - Experience developing WordPress themes and plugins. - Strong PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS skills. - Familiarity with Gutenberg, ACF, and WooCommerce. - Understanding of SEO and website performance optimization. - Knowledge of Git and deployment processes. - Intermediate or upper level English and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Nice to have - Headless WordPress experience using REST APIs or GraphQL. - CI/CD, automated testing, or cloud hosting experience. - Remote work and agile team experience.
