Sr. Ruby on Rails Developer

Role overview Build and maintain scalable web applications as a senior Ruby on Rails developer. The work spans backend services, APIs, background processing, and front-end integrations, with an emphasis on quality, cloud infrastructure, and collaboration in an agile development process.

Responsibilities - Develop and improve applications using Ruby on Rails, applying a strong understanding of the framework’s internals. - Build RESTful APIs, background jobs, and integrations with front-end applications. - Work with relational and NoSQL data stores, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, and DynamoDB. - Write and maintain automated tests using practices such as TDD or BDD. - Deploy and operate cloud-based workloads, including serverless components, and support delivery automation. - Contribute to scalable system design, including microservices and event-driven approaches where appropriate.

Requirements - At least five years of Ruby on Rails experience, including deep knowledge of Rails internals. - Strong experience with SQL databases and NoSQL technologies. - Experience building APIs, background jobs, and front-end integrations. - Proficiency with testing tools such as RSpec, Minitest, or Capybara. - Hands-on experience with AWS services such as S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, or CloudWatch, and with serverless architectures. - Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps automation tools such as GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or Jenkins.

Nice to have - Experience with React, Vue.js, or Angular. - Understanding of microservices, event-driven systems, and scalable architecture. - Comfort working in sprint-based agile teams.
