About this role
Role overview An Information Security Platform Engineer is needed to design and maintain the internal tooling that powers security operations. Working primarily inside AWS, this mid-level role builds custom applications, APIs, and automations that turn raw security data into actionable insight, while also improving developer experience across the InfoSec team.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain custom applications, APIs, command-line tools, and automations, primarily in Python and increasingly with AI-assisted development aids. - Build and operate data ingestion pipelines that move logs, alerts, and security events into operational platforms and an Elastic-based SIEM. - Provision and scale AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code, with Terraform as the primary tool. - Create reusable project scaffolding, CLI utilities, and standardized templates that lift developer efficiency across the security team. - Maintain the InfoSec codebase, manage CI and CD pipelines, and embed secure software development lifecycle practices.
Requirements
- Software development, scripting, or platform engineering experience. - Strong hands-on background developing in AWS and managing cloud infrastructure with Terraform or an equivalent framework such as CloudFormation. - Proficiency writing code in Python or Bash, and familiarity with modern languages such as Go or Rust. - Comfort with Git version control, CI and CD workflows, Docker containerization, and automated testing frameworks such as pytest. - Ability to work effectively in both Mac and Linux development environments and to use AI tools pragmatically in engineering workflows. - Strong written and spoken technical English and a collaborative, approachable communication style.
Nice to have
- A track record of building internal CLI tools, project scaffolding, or open-source projects. - General awareness of security baseline principles, secure coding, and secure SDLC concepts. - Experience with AWS serverless stacks, microservices, or container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes. - Relevant security or cloud certifications, or a bachelor's degree in a related field.
Benefits and work setup
- Company-wide bonuses tied to monthly sales targets, employee referral bonuses, adoption assistance, tuition reimbursement, certification reimbursement, and certification completion bonuses. - Remote role based in Brazil. - Resume submission in English is required.
