About this role
Role overview Develop a sophisticated web editor used to create email and landing-page designs, with responsibility across its frontend, document model, APIs, and production behavior. A major focus is realtime collaboration: enabling people and AI agents to edit the same asset while keeping changes synchronized and reliable.
Responsibilities - Build editor features in Vue 3 and TypeScript, including canvas rendering, selection, undo and redo, reusable modules, locks, and translations. - Improve the structured document format and the process that renders it into production-ready HTML. - Own and scale collaborative editing using CRDT-based synchronization, WebSockets, and edge services; address reconnects, stale clients, and partial failures. - Work with the AI team to let agents make edits through the editor’s operations and synchronization model. - Maintain backend APIs and persistence, and instrument, monitor, and safely release changes. - Shape architecture, review code, document decisions, mentor colleagues, and work with product, design, QA, and operations teams.
Requirements - At least six years of software development experience, including substantial full-stack work. - Experience building complex, stateful web editors or similar applications such as design tools, page builders, or rich-text editors. - Strong TypeScript skills and experience with a modern frontend framework; Vue 3 is preferred. - Backend experience with PHP and Laravel, plus API design, testing, and CI/CD practices. - Ability to reason about realtime collaboration, distributed systems, and production reliability. - Strong problem-solving, written communication, and collaborative skills.
Nice to have - Experience with CRDTs or operational transformation, edge or serverless runtimes, email HTML compatibility, or AI features. - Experience at a fast-growing software-as-a-service company.
Benefits and work setup The stated base salary range is $130,000–$160,000 per year. Benefits include paid vacation, additional life leave, team lunches and off-sites, and career development support.
