Role overview A senior visual artist position focused on owning how a major sandbox engineering simulation game franchise is presented across all marketing channels, spanning both the current title and its upcoming sequel. The work combines hands-on production of key visuals and campaign artwork with strategic creative direction for the brand's visual identity. It is structured for a proactive, autonomous contributor rather than a purely execution-based artist.
Responsibilities - Help define, maintain, and evolve the visual brand identity across marketing materials, platforms, and campaigns for both the current game and the sequel. - Develop visual concepts derived from in-game content, screenshots, 3D assets, and existing game art. - Produce a wide range of promotional artwork, including key visuals, store and platform assets, banners, social media graphics, splash screens, logos, branding elements, campaign visuals, event materials, and other 2D artwork. - Capture, compose, and post-process in-game imagery to deliver promotional-grade quality. - Adapt key visuals into multiple formats and resolutions while preserving consistency. - Collaborate with art, marketing, and production teams to align assets with purpose and audience, and explore multiple visual directions before committing to final polish. - Identify workflow and template improvements, particularly for recurring marketing assets.
Requirements - 6+ years of professional experience as a Marketing Artist, 2D Artist, or Graphic Designer in the video game industry, specifically on PC and/or console titles. - Strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality video game marketing and promotional artwork. - Proven experience creating key visuals, campaign artwork, promotional screenshots, banners, social assets, splash screens, logos, and compositions based on in-game or 3D content. - Strong skills in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator, plus hands-on experience with motion graphics or animation tools such as After Effects. - Experience creating assets for Steam, PlayStation, Xbox, and similar gaming platforms. - Solid understanding of composition, typography, color, lighting, and visual hierarchy, with strong photo manipulation and post-processing skills. - Experience working with 3D assets or game engines such as Blender, Unreal Engine, or Unity. - Proactive, self-driven mindset with the ability to work independently and iterate quickly on feedback. - Fluent English, spoken and written.
Nice to have - Motion graphics or video editing experience. - Familiarity with Figma. - UI/UX or in-game UI experience. - Background working on sci-fi, simulation, or technically oriented games.
