Backend Engineer

Role overview Help build the backend systems behind payments and customer management software used by collision repair businesses. You will work with a small team to deliver features across APIs, billing flows, and data services, with end-to-end ownership and a focus on dependable operation.

Responsibilities - Design and implement APIs for checkout, business provisioning, and routine shop operations. - Partner with product and frontend colleagues to deliver clear, well-tested features. - Improve service reliability, observability, and performance across payment and CRM systems. - Review code, document systems, and contribute to engineering quality.

Requirements - Experience building production APIs in PHP, Node.js, or a comparable backend language. - Familiarity with relational data, integrations, and third-party payment or CRM systems. - Clear written communication and a preference for simple, maintainable solutions. - Ability to work independently in a full-time remote position.

Nice to have - Experience with Laravel, payment processors, or software for automotive repair. - Familiarity with webhooks, background jobs, or multi-tenant SaaS.
