Role overview
The Vice President of Product Management leads core small business lending products, including term loan and line of credit offerings. This executive role owns product P&L, strategy, and go-to-market execution, partnering closely with product delivery, risk, finance, sales, operations, and executive leadership to sharpen competitive positioning in the small business financing market.
Responsibilities
- Own revenue and cost drivers for core lending products, tracking key performance metrics and making trade-offs to optimize unit economics across each product line. - Build and maintain a product-level P&L model with finance that connects roadmap decisions to financial outcomes. - Define go-to-market strategy across segments and channels, including positioning narrative, pricing structure, fee design, and a quarterly competitive intelligence cadence. - Lead launch planning for new product features, underwriting enhancements, and market expansions, coordinating across sales, marketing, operations, and compliance and measuring against pre-defined success metrics. - Develop a rolling 12–18 month product vision and prioritized roadmap, presenting to executive leadership at least quarterly and updating it in response to market signals. - Identify opportunities to apply AI and machine learning to underwriting accuracy, decisioning speed, personalized offer design, and automated borrower communications. - Ensure the roadmap reflects regulatory and compliance requirements, proactively engaging legal and compliance on initiatives that touch borrower data, underwriting logic, and adverse action reasoning.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience operating at the general manager or VP level for lending products, with direct P&L ownership. - Background in product strategy, pricing, and go-to-market execution within financial services or small business lending. - Ability to partner effectively across product delivery, risk, finance, sales, operations, and executive leadership. - Track record of translating competitive analysis, borrower behavior data, and market signals into concrete product recommendations. - Familiarity with underwriting logic and regulatory considerations affecting small business credit products.
