Job details
About this role
Role overview Own a digital product area from identifying a customer or business problem through launch, measurement, and iteration. Work as an individual contributor with design, engineering, and business partners to turn complex workflows and interconnected systems into practical improvements, using customer insight and data to guide decisions.
Responsibilities - Set a product direction and roadmap, define success measures, and prioritize work using customer and business evidence. - Take initiatives through discovery, delivery, launch, and subsequent improvement; assess outcomes and adapt based on what you learn. - Gather customer feedback, analyze relevant data, and weigh requests against broader needs and priorities. - Turn complicated problems into clear, buildable work with design and engineering partners, surfacing constraints and sequencing decisions. - Create alignment across engineering, design, project management, quality, operations, and business teams; document research and decisions so colleagues can follow the work. - Improve the clarity and flow of work reaching engineering, balancing larger initiatives with smaller, useful changes.
Requirements - Product management experience owning work across multiple iterations, with examples of decisions and results. - Strong product judgment: able to make timely trade-offs with incomplete information and explain the reasoning to partners. - Experience with technically complex products, such as APIs, integrations, data pipelines, or systems built around customer and business data. - Able to understand technical details well enough to ask useful questions, identify constraints, and work through workflows with design and engineering. - Clear written and verbal communication, empathy, and the ability to work independently in an asynchronous environment. - Curious, hands-on approach to investigating problems and following through after launch.
Nice to have - Prior experience in insurance is not required; familiarity with real estate, insurance workflows, or agent-facing products may be useful.
Benefits and work setup - Remote work is available within the United States; the role’s listed base salary range is $90,000–$130,000 per year. - Health, dental, vision, and life insurance; flexible paid time off; and a retirement savings plan with employer match. - Chicago-based employees follow a hybrid schedule with in-office work on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
