Staff Platform Engineer - Infrastructure

Role overview A Staff-level Platform Engineer role on the infrastructure team, fully remote within the United States. The position focuses on the CI/CD pipelines, tooling, and cloud foundations that keep production services secure, observable, and cost-efficient at scale.

Responsibilities - Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines, deployment patterns, and environment standards across engineering teams - Automate operational workflows and ensure infrastructure stays secure and aligned with industry compliance standards - Improve infrastructure performance and reliability while monitoring and optimizing cloud cost - Maintain observability and incident response processes, scaling cloud-based systems as the platform grows - Collaborate with a global team of full-stack, data, AI, and DevOps engineers to standardize environments and deployment patterns

Requirements - Eight or more years of software engineering or DevOps experience, with meaningful time spent on infrastructure, performance, security, or compliance - Strong fundamentals in system design, debugging, and problem-solving - Proficiency in Python, with openness to strong candidates from other object-oriented backgrounds - Experience with serverless technologies such as Lambda and EC2, asynchronous workflows, and cloud environments - Solid knowledge of relational databases and performance tuning, ideally PostgreSQL - Hands-on experience with Terraform, infrastructure-as-code best practices, and Docker or equivalent tools

Nice to have - Background with large language models, generative AI, or distributed systems
