About this role
Role overview A full stack engineer is needed to join a small team building AI-powered software for the insurance industry. The work spans frontend, backend, and infrastructure on systems that include natural language processing, entity resolution, large data pipelines, and machine-learning models. It suits an engineer with at least three years of production experience who wants meaningful ownership on a fast-moving team solving problems in a large global industry.
Responsibilities - Build scalable, reliable full-stack solutions across the product - Work on systems that combine large data pipelines, distributed architectures, and ML models - Collaborate with a global team of full-stack, data, ML, and DevOps engineers - Develop modern frontend experiences with React and TypeScript - Build backend services in Python and design schemas for relational databases such as PostgreSQL - Operate cloud infrastructure, including serverless components like Lambda and EC2
Requirements - Three or more years of software engineering experience shipping production systems - Hands-on experience with a modern frontend framework, preferably React - Strong skills in JavaScript and TypeScript, plus comfort in Python - Solid fundamentals in system design, debugging, and problem solving - Experience with relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL - Familiarity with cloud environments, serverless technologies, and asynchronous workflows
Nice to have - Interest in NLP, firmographic data, and entity resolution techniques - Curiosity about applied machine learning in real-world products
