Job details
About this role
Role overview
Build the systems and workflows that help growth and sales teams generate and convert more business. As the first engineer focused on go-to-market operations, you will combine software development with hands-on work alongside commercial teams, turning effective practices and manual processes into tools the wider organization can use.
Responsibilities
- Review the existing go-to-market tools and processes, identify gaps or duplication, and prioritize practical improvements. - Build AI-enabled workflows and internal tools for tasks such as lead routing, data enrichment, personalized outreach, account research, content distribution, and attribution. - Work with sales and growth colleagues to capture successful practices and turn them into repeatable systems. - Choose between existing products and custom development based on the problem, and connect systems through APIs, webhooks, and integrations. - Collaborate with engineering and design to try product features and apply AI capabilities to commercial workflows. - Document useful processes and playbooks so teams can adopt and repeat successful approaches.
Requirements
- Roughly 2–5 years of software engineering experience, including some work on growth, revenue, or go-to-market systems. - Experience building production software used by real people, including internal users. - Practical experience with large language models or AI agents, such as retrieval, evaluation, tool use, or prompt design. - Comfort using modern coding assistants to build substantial software, and fluency with commercial software, APIs, webhooks, and integrations. - Strong product judgment, systems thinking, and ability to spot commercial opportunities in sales conversations or performance data. - Clear communication across technical and nontechnical teams, sound prioritization, and comfort working through ambiguity.
Nice to have
- Startup experience, or experience building independent products. - Evidence that an AI agent improved a real revenue measure; background in revenue operations, marketing operations, or sales engineering.
