Job details
About this role
Role overview Build and operate systems that help growth and sales teams generate and convert business opportunities. As the first engineer focused on go-to-market operations, you will turn manual, fragmented workflows into useful automations and internal tools, combining software development with close collaboration across commercial and technical teams.
Responsibilities - Build AI-enabled workflows that support growth and sales activity. - Review existing go-to-market systems, identify gaps or duplication, and prioritize improvements. - Work alongside sales and growth colleagues to turn effective practices into repeatable tools and processes. - Develop internal applications and agents for tasks such as lead routing, enrichment, account research, personalized outreach, content distribution, and attribution. - Decide when existing platforms are sufficient and when custom software is warranted. - Partner with engineering and design to test product capabilities and apply them to go-to-market use cases. - Document useful processes and playbooks so teams can repeat successful approaches.
Requirements - Around two to five years of professional software engineering experience, including some work on growth, revenue, or go-to-market systems. - Strong practical use of AI coding tools, with examples of substantial work shipped using them. - Experience building with large language models or agents, including areas such as retrieval, evaluation, tool use, or prompt design. - Familiarity with go-to-market platforms and comfort working with APIs, webhooks, and integrations. - Track record building and maintaining production systems used by real users, including internal users. - Good product judgment and ability to build polished tools that address operational needs. - Commercial awareness, clear communication across technical and nontechnical groups, and comfort working through ambiguity.
Nice to have - Early-stage startup experience or a history of building independent products. - AI agent work that improved a business metric, rather than remaining a demo. - Previous experience in revenue operations, marketing operations, or sales engineering.
Benefits and work setup - The role offers broad collaboration across growth, sales, design, and engineering, with frequent shipping and feedback from users. - Priorities can shift, direction may be limited, and the work often calls for independent judgment and rapid experimentation. - The source describes flexible scheduling, unlimited paid time off, and a minimum vacation allowance of 20 days; it also notes that the pace may sometimes require work beyond standard hours.
