Senior Product Manager, Emerging Products (0-1)
Job details
About this role
Role overview Own the development of a new consumer product area, from early concept or initial launch through product-market fit and growth. The specific opportunity may involve home or specialty-vehicle insurance, or a service that makes owning a car or home easier; the focus will depend on your experience, interests, and business priorities. The work combines customer research, data analysis, product decisions, and rapid iteration in domains with varied customer needs and operational complexity.
Responsibilities - Learn a new product domain quickly and identify customer needs, operational constraints, and opportunities for growth. - Combine quantitative analysis with customer research to form hypotheses and prioritize high-impact work. - Shape the product roadmap and take ideas from concept or early launch into shipped customer experiences. - Gather feedback soon after launch, use results to refine the product, and expand the approaches that work. - Take ownership of execution and address problems across team boundaries when needed.
Requirements - At least 5 years in management consulting, consumer product management, a high-growth startup, or a comparable role. - Strong consumer product instincts, gained through hands-on product work or close collaboration with product teams. - Comfort analyzing data independently and drawing sound conclusions from incomplete or messy signals. - A curious, first-principles approach that starts with the customer problem before settling on a solution. - Reliable follow-through, empathy for customers, and willingness to take responsibility in ambiguous situations.
Benefits and work setup - Remote work is supported for most roles, with office options in several North American cities. Hiring is limited to specified U.S. states and Ontario, with eligible locations differing by employee type. - Benefits for regular employees include health, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, paid parental leave, a retirement plan with employer matching, and wellness support. Equity may be available.
